Frequently asked questions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Functional Medicine?

Functional Medicine is a personalized, systems-based approach to healthcare. Instead of masking symptoms, it looks for the root causes of imbalance and supports the body’s natural ability to heal through nutrition, lifestyle, and targeted strategies.

How is The Verity different from traditional healthcare?

At The Verity, we focus on truth-driven healing. That means listening deeply, looking at the whole picture of your health, and creating strategies that fit you—not one-size-fits-all solutions.

Do you replace my primary care doctor?

No. The Verity is a complementary service. We work alongside your current healthcare providers to help you optimize your health with functional and lifestyle-based strategies.

What happens during the initial consultation?

Your first consultation is a 75–90 minute deep dive into your health history, lifestyle, and goals. You’ll leave with a clear roadmap and immediate steps to begin your healing journey.

Do you accept insurance?

Currently, The Verity does not bill insurance. However, many clients use HSA/FSA funds, and we provide superbills upon request for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

Can you order lab work?

Yes. We review existing labs, suggest functional testing when needed, and interpret results in a way that connects the dots to your overall health.

Who do you work with?

We support adults, women navigating hormone balance, children with unique health needs, and anyone seeking truth-based, holistic support for chronic illness, pain, or overall wellness.

How often will I need sessions?

It depends on your goals and current health needs. Some clients benefit from a focused month of care, while others choose ongoing packages for deeper, long-term support.

Can I work with you virtually?

Yes. The Verity offers both in-person and virtual consultations so you can receive care wherever you are.

How do I get started?

Simply book an initial consultation through the Work With Me page. Once scheduled, you’ll receive an intake form so we can tailor your session to your unique needs.
